Open-mindedness in moderation

What is this "blogging" you speak of? Youtube videos are of far more importance!

Not only are the points made in this video pretty decent, but the quality of animation is remarkable as well. I guess it can more or less summarized by saying that "you should not and do not have to forfeit critical thinking in order to be 'open-minded'". But, don't let the spoilers ruin it for you.

Having trouble getting it to run. But I still love Bertrand Russell's famous quote: "It's important to have an open mind but not so open that your brain falls out."

Works fine on this end. Might be a problem with your video player, might just be that the page needs to be refreshed because Youtube has a case of temporary insanity like it does. But I'm open-minded...could very well be ravenous hobgoblins chewing away at the internet. They're after me, I swear.

That was a great video ... I'll have to keep it in my back pocket. :-)

That must require some talent. First the hobgoblins, and now people admitting that they know how to abscond with pieces of internet. Reality is betraying me once again.

Bertrand Russell might not have said it, but, I always liked the quote: " I won't say he's narrow-minded, but if it gets any worse, he'll only need one earring"

Sounds like a literal pinhead. Oddly appropriate.

This video was great! there are a few close minded people I know I would defiantly recommend this video to.

The video is timely. I'm increasingly hearing people called "closed-minded" for such sins as dismissing intelligent design.

Closed-minded as in people who refuse to change their opinion and aren't open to new information, or closed-minded as in people who are called closed-minded for not blindly accepting someone's pet "theory of everything"?

"I'm increasingly hearing people called "closed-minded" for such sins as dismissing intelligent design."

Me too. The increasing amount of relativism on that side of the debate is becoming rather disturbing (considering how much they love their absolutes...).
